Nice to meet you.

Making stuff is fun. I have an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from the University of Iowa. My work has earned a Society of Professional Journalists and Cannes Audience Choice awards. I've rafted 550 miles through the Grand Canyon.   I live at the headwaters of the Arkansas River in Leadville, Colorado at 10,200 feet.

I've been in the marketing biz for 15 years, in strategy and copywriting. I've made content for brands like Filson, Dickies, LOGE adventure hotels, Seattle Office of Film + Music, and Lagunitas Beer. I've planned festivals, built brand partnerships, and managed social media. I've been Marketing Director for local businesses Tennessee Pass Cookhouse and FREIGHT event center. ​I've written and produced two Bitterbush plays, comedies about family, with my partner Blue. My first book GIRL BOAT is about ten years as a raft guide. I'm currently working at the handmade local fleece fortress Melanzana.
